This luxury coastal home is based in a beautiful exclusive enclave on Waiheke Island. With premier ocean and city views the home had recently been purchased by a returning ex-pat family.

brief

The brief was to create a home for all seasons and a private space away from the waterfront and prevailing winds as well as a stunning swimming pool as the main feature. The final design included spaces for outside living all year round no matter the variable New Zealand weather.

Island Interiors design was for a light, bright space that blurred the line between indoor and outdoor living. A loggia was designed to be used all year round with natural light as the primary focus. Island Interiors lead the design direction and finishes throughout including the swimming pool and pool buildings. A detailed schedule of finishes was provided including furniture and fittings.
